If you have discovered the misuse of a domain, please inform us using the complaint form.
A registrar is a company that specialises solely in the technical and organisational aspects of domain administration and any related services. A registrar is comparable to a wholesaler. Due to the extensive knowledge required for domain administration at the registry level, it is rarely possible for a provider to also act as a registrar.
If your provider no longer responds to your requests, we will be happy to help you carry out the desired deletion of your domain. You will find a corresponding form below
Further links: Domain deletion request (CLOSE)
A domain can be deleted for various reasons. As a rule, this is ordered by the provider in charge, who has received a corresponding order from the domain holder. Orders from the domain holder can be
- Deletion request for immediate deletion of the domain
- Cancellation of the domain and thus deletion at the end of the paid term
In exceptional cases, a domain can also be deleted if
- court or arbitration proceedings require this (e.g. UDRP)
- the domain holder violates the registration contract (e.g. incorrect address data in the WHOIS)
- the contractual relationship between the supervising provider and us as the responsible registrar expires (e.g. due to breach of contract)

In principle, only the domain holder of a domain is authorised to issue such requests. We therefore neither take sides nor make decisions in favour of or against an application or request. If you therefore:
- believe that your rights have been infringed by the registration of a domain
- consider the name of a domain to be legally incorrect
- consider the content of a website operated under a domain to be legally incorrect
please always contact the operator of the website or the owner of the domain. We will only be able to act if we have a decision from a court with jurisdiction in this case.
We do not manage any websites. Therefore, your provider is the only contact for all matters relating to your website.
We do not manage any end customers. It is therefore not possible to manage your domain directly via CPS data systems. However, we will be happy to recommend an alternative provider from our customer database who can help you with the transfer and setup of your homepage.
If your provider no longer responds to your enquiry, we will be happy to help you with an upcoming provider change (KK).
From a legal point of view, we are only permitted to approve transfer requests that have been authorised by the domain owner (Owner-C) or their authorised representative (Admin-C). Such authorisation must be made in writing (by fax or letter post) and signed by one of the two persons. As a reseller (possibly Tech-C) you unfortunately have no authorisation to act. Transfers for COM / NET / ORG / BIZ and INFO domains are only possible 60 days after registration / the last transfer. This is a legal restriction on the part of ICANN, over which we have no influence! The AUTH-CODE required for a transfer of COM / NET / ORG / BIZ / INFO domains will be sent to your owner e-mail address on request. Please note: Only provider changes on the direct behalf of the respective domain owner are possible. Providers / resellers who administer domains on behalf of domain owners are not authorised to dispose of them. Further links: Provider change letter (KK-OUT)
The processing of an application by us is currently free of charge.
It currently takes between 5 and 10 days to process an application. During this time, please refrain from sending multiple applications and enquiries. Please also note our complaints management.

To set up a dispute lock for a domain, please send us:
- An informal letter in which you explain the facts of the case to us. The letter must be signed by you personally and written on your letterhead.
- The letter must include the steps you are currently taking and the steps you intend to take (e.g. a DENIC dispute, EURID-ADR or legal action against the domain holder).
- Please enclose with the letter – an extract of the WHOIS data on which your complaint is based – proof of identity (e.g. copy of identity card).

Most registrars offer special dispute resolution procedures. Please contact the registrar responsible for the top level domain directly for more information. Examples include the DENIC eG Dispute Procedure, the EURid ADR or the ICANN UDRP (Uniform Domain-Name Dispute-Resolution Policy). Even if CPS-Datensysteme does not intervene in ongoing disputes about domains, we can place a dispute lock on the disputed domain. This lock means that the domain holder can no longer transfer the domain to a third party or delete it. As part of a UDRP procedure (Uniform Domain-Name Dispute-Resolution Policy of ICANN), this lock is automatically set by us after receipt of the application
CPS-Datensysteme works as a so-called domain registrar. A domain registrar manages Internet domains on behalf of its customers. In our case, our customers are exclusively providers and agencies. If you have been referred to us by a registrar, then we manage your domains on behalf of your provider and would like to thank you for your interest in CPS-Datensysteme. However, your primary point of contact is your provider. If you do not know who your provider is, the so-called WHOIS (public database of domain owner and administrator data), which you can find under the link below, may be able to help you. Further links: Web-WHOIS query
If a domain is no longer to be administered by us, but no cancellation request has been issued by the domain holder, we can place the domain in transit / hold. For further information, please refer to the FAQs of the relevant registrars. Further links: DENIC eG Transit FAQs
Changes to the WHOIS data may be made either
- only the responsible provider
- or the domain holder
may make changes. The responsible provider can process such changes automatically. If you as the domain holder wish to make changes to your WHOIS data, please always contact your provider first. If your provider is actually unavailable, you can request a change to the data using the following forms. Further links: Update request (owner change / DNS update)
